Hard play in the …
Hard play in the evening, take away water 1 1/2-2 hrs before bedtime. Take her out to pee when she cries, after that ignore her cries. It only took 2-3 nights for my puppy to stop crying to get out. She stays quiet when I put her in her crate.

How much exercise …
How much exercise do you give your dog? The chewing/peeing thing could be a result of lack of exercise which can cause boredom and result in destructive chewing and maybe peeing. Lots of exercise, maybe having your dog perform tasks like pulling tires (check with your vet first for physical problems and get a pulling harness, they’re available for about 40 bucks) or exercise on a treadmill may help your dog blow off some steam and not resort to chewing. Chew toys can help out, too.

Are their commands …
Are their commands when you want your dog in deffense drive? What about supressing the prey drive, such as chasing bikes and cars (which is dangerous for the human and the dog)? Can the prey drive be supressed on command, so that they don’t get into a “never plays” mode? I’ve seen other dogs get to the point where they simply have little interest in playing because they become too supressed.

Thank You. Love Lacy the human & Dezyl the human in his own mind Pit who is sooooooo precious. Oh and cute and handsome and sweet and AWSOME.

Well, Dogs are not …
Well, Dogs are not Wolves and Humans are not Chimps. Dogs retain juvenile characteristics of wolves (paedomorphism). They like to play. Normally developed dogs will play, even as adults. Chase is a fun game. Especially if it is accompanied by loud barking from the Human: “HEY! GET BACK HERE!”. Fun!
